Bone is a type of connective tissue. It contains a type of mineral called calcium. That's why bones are so hard.
Unstable types
Bones can be divided into four parts according to size. namely-
Long Bones: Long bones are located in the upper and lower parts of the arms and legs. For example, Femur, Tibia, Humerus. A long bone consists of a shaft and two rounded heads (epiphysis). There is a kind of soft material inside the stem, which is called bone marrow.
Short Bone: These bones are short. shorter or shorter The bones are located in the wrist and ankle. For example, the carpal bones of the wrist and the tarsal bones of the ankle.
Flat Bone: These bones are flat. Different bones of the Skull bones, scapula, sternum and ribs are examples of flat bones. These bones are also called flat bones.
Irregular Bone: The spine is made up of irregular bones. These bones are called Vertebrae. This uneven bone of the spine is divided into several parts below.
For example-
a. Cervical Vertebrae - 7 Vertebrae
b. Thoracic Vertebrae - 12 Vertebrae
c. Lumbar Vertebrae - 5 Vertebrae
d. Sacrum - 5 Vertebrae
e. Coccyx - 4 Vertebrae
Total = 33 Vertebrae
Bone Marrow : Bones contain a soft substance called bone marrow. They make red blood cells (RBCs), platelets, and most white blood cells (WBCs) and circulate these cells in the bloodstream. Blood cells are made from all the bone marrow of very young children. But in adults blood clots are formed only from sternum, ris, vertebrae, scapula, humerus and hipbone.
